CH340\/g Software Drivers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Required for UNO, Mega2560, and NANO with CH340 or CH340G<\/p>\n\n\n\nDownload CH340 CH340G Drivers<\/a><\/d3>

When you connect a Chinese Arduino UNO, Mega3560 or Nano that uses a CH340 or CH340G USB to Serial chip, a driver will be installed, but you will not be able to access the CH340 device, the default driver does not work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Download and Install this driver on your Windows 10 System
Your Windows 10 System will say it has the correct drivers, BUT IT DOES NOT!,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you install this driver you will be able to communicate with the Mega2560s and Nanos from China that use the CH340 Chip
Software is provided as a convenience, use at your own risk!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driver will install with a default Serial Speed of 9600,8,n,1
Arduino IDE will over ride this speed during uploads<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arduino Libraries<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need a lot of libraries for your projects, these are mostly libraries that are required to use different shields and sensors<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most libraries come as ZIP files, To install the driver into the Arduino Library, copy the contents of the ZIP to your Arduino Library folder<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The default location for this library on a Windows device is – My Documents\\ardurino\\library<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arduino Nano Upload Timeout Errors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you receiving an upload timeout error when uploading the an Arduiono Nano?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example Error<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sketch uses 6440 bytes (19%) of program storage space. This error is related to Nanos that use the older boot loader, and I have this issue on all the Nanos I have purchased from China<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it is easy to fix!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In Arduino IDE, Select<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tools -> Board -> Arduino Nano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
This will select Arduino Nano as the board to program<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then Select<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tools -> Processor -> ATMega328P – (Old BootLoader)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
