{"id":106423,"date":"2021-10-10T12:17:46","date_gmt":"2021-10-10T12:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/2021-obituary-2\/"},"modified":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","slug":"diana-lucille-workman-1956-2021-obituary","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/diana-lucille-workman-1956-2021-obituary\/","title":{"rendered":"Diana Lucille Workman 1956-2021 Obituary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-center has-vivid-red-color\">Diana Lucille Workman 1956-2021 Obituary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><a style=\"color:Tomato; \" href=\"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/randolph-county-west-virginia-area-obituaries\/\">Return to Randolph County Area Obituaries Home Page<\/a><\/center><br><br>\n\n\n\n<p> Diana Lucille Elmore Workman, age 65 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side and under the care of West Virginia Hospice.<br>She was born Monday, April 16, 1956 at Warren, Ohio, a daughter of the late John Dayton Elmore and Elsie Marie Miller Elmore, who survives at Jimtown, WV. On June 9, 1973 at Phillips Chapel Church at Jimtown, WV, she was married to Brent Edgar Workman, who survives. They celebrated forty eight years of marriage. They had resided in Germany, during Brent\u2019s military service, before returning back home to Elkins, WV. They enjoyed every minute together.<br>Also surviving are three daughters, Buffy Jo Tarley and husband Michael of Fairmont, Lena Marie Corley and husband Nicholas of Montrose and Sarah Ann Workman of Elkins; one brother, David Allen Elmore of Jimtown; two sisters, Donna Marie Polce and husband Michael and Deborah Lee Conley and husband Greg, all of Jimtown; six grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Tarley, Michael Ethan Tarley, Lillian Nicole Corley, Emily Jo Corley, Olivia Grace Hinzman, and Brenten Orion Olnick; three great grandchildren, twins, Shawn and Colton Rush and Raelyn Hayes.<br>Preceding her in death is her granddaughter, Alexis Morgan Hayes and two brothers, Calvin Andrew Elmore and Roy Glenn Elmore; maternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Miller and paternal grandparents, Fred and Gladys Elmore.<br>She was a graduate of Coalton High School. She had worked at the former G.C. Murphy\u2019s Diner, Dori\u2019s Dinner, Colonial Place, and Citizens Bank of WV. She grew up attending and was a member of the Phillips Chapel Church, where she also loved to sing. Diana enjoyed traveling, shopping and very much enjoyed cooking for people. She was a very caring, loving and sweet lady, who made a huge impact on everyone she met. She was very close with all her family and loved them with all of her heart.<br>The family will receive friends at the Lohr &amp; Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10 AM. The Rev. Terry Cannon will officiate and interment will follow at the American Legions Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale, WV. The Lohr &amp; Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Diana Lucille Elmore Workman.
