Edna M. Shuttlesworth, age 91 years, a resident of Morgantown, WV passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 in the WV Caring Hospice Inpatient Unit in Elkins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was born March 22, 1930 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Maxwell and Bessie Collins Moats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was married to Paul S. Shuttlesworth who preceded her in death in 1998. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is survived by two sons, John Shuttlesworth and Kim Larew and Roger Shuttlesworth and wife Belinda, all of Morgantown; two daughters, Sherley Shuttlesworth of Morgantown and Carolyn Cowman and husband Jim of NC. Two sisters, Francis Moore of Elkins, Ralphetta Cordes of FL; four grandchildren, Courtney Oosterhouse and husband Jake and children Olivia, Breaken and Mason, Kristen and Caleb Oruth, Ashley Williams and husband Dave and children Madison and Gabriella,, Josh Shuttlesworth and wife Joycelyn, and step-grandchildren, Sam and wife Erin and children, Case, Belen and Jennifer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also preceding her in death were several siblings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edna was retired from West Virginia University where she was employed as Head Baker and was a member of the Toms Run Homemakers and Mount Harmony Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, October 11, 2021 at the American Legion\u2019s Little Arlington Cemetery near Elkins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Andria Thomason will officiate and interment will follow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Masks and social distancing is recommended for those attending the service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memorial contributions may be made to the WV Caring Hospice Inpatient Unit, 169 Diamond St., Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mrs. Shuttlesworth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Edna M. Shuttlesworth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
