This Crystal set is an improvement on an earlier set the author submitted as a reader in the December 1932 issue<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This crystal set uses two plug in coils to pickup 2 different bands and can tune in the broadcast band and the Short Wave band<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main appeal of this circuit is the plug in coils, but also the large coils that have multiple taps – 11 in total, which should give the radio a nice bandspread and is relatively easy to build<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This set uses a galenium detector which can work quite well, but required a lot of patience – much different then our dial turned radios of today<\/p>\n\n\n
