Another new acquisition, adding to my restoration list……<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a good looking radio which has a good amount of service data available for it<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The radio is in relatively good condition – needs an electrical restoration, oddly it came with a broken tube, and a replacement, nothing major looks wrong with it, so the restoration should be fairly normal<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cabinet is a little rough in places, with one piece in the lower front missing some veneer, match the grain might be a challenge, and I’ll strip the existing finish and redo the entire cabinet in stain that matches the original<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big unknown is the transformer, is it still good? That will be the first thing I check out when I start the restoration, as it might take a while to find a suitable replacement, but I don’t want to take apart the radio until I’m ready to do the full restoration<\/p>\n\n\n\n
