Clara Nell (Whetzel) Ours, age 92, of Cabins, WV passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Grant Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clara Nell was born on October 26, 1929 in Smoke Hole, WV and was a daughter of the late Albert Milton Whetzel and Martha Jane (Alt) Whetzel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her parents, Clara Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Justin \u201cIke\u201d Ours on May 24, 2019; one son, Andy Ours; Daughter-in-law, Marlene Ours; six sisters, Twin Cloda Kisamore, Arbutus Kesner, Ruth Engle, Rhoda Berg, Anna Bennett and infant Geneva Whetzel; six brothers, Albert Whetzel Jr., Ora Whetzel, Orville Whetzel, Charles Whetzel, Vernon Whetzel and Curtis Whetzel;\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clara Nell was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clara Nell is survived by one daughter, Karen \u201cSue\u201d (Lee) Carr of Cabins, WV, two sons, Dale (Mary) Ours of Cabins, WV and Allen (Phyllis) Ours of Cabins, WV; one granddaughter, Becky Ours O\u2019Haver and husband Skip; three grandsons, Roger Ours, Andrew Ours, and Joe Ours wife Nicole; four great grandchildren, Emily, John, Liam Ours and Josh Weasenforth; two great-great grandsons, Jaxson Weasenforth and Branson Ours; eleven step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; a very close friend, Betty Barr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Ours worked in the laundry department at Grant Memorial Hospital and retired after 30 plus years.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She later worked for the former Sites cottages.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She loved canning, sewing, making apple butter, spending time with family.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a member of Cabins Assembly of God Church and North Fork Ruritan Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 \u2013 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11 AM in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Colman and Colleen Clark officiating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
