Daisy Marie Pritt Quick, age 87 years, a former resident of Mill Creek, and for the past several years, a resident of Colonial Place, departed this life Monday morning, March 30, 2009 at the nursing home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was born Tuesday, June 28, 1921 at Elkwater, a daughter of the late Flavius W. Pritt and Caroline Kimbrew Pritt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 1, 1941 at the Huttonsville Presbyterian Church, she was married to William Donald Quick, who preceded her in death on November 28, 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surviving her are two sisters, Violet Goff, Sunset, AZ and Kathleen Goff, Charleston, and several nieces and nephews. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preceding her in death was one infant, and two brothers, Warden Junior Pritt and Bayard Pritt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daisy attended the two room school at Elkwater and graduated from Tygart Valley High School with the class of 1941. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a homemaker and along with her husband, was the owner and operator of the Quick Service Station from 1952 to 1991. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a member of the Mill Creek Senior Citizens, the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church, where she had served as secretary \/ treasurer for thirty-five years, and the Elder Women of the Church. She was also a noted church historian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 6 until 8 PM, Thursday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, April 3, 2009, Daisy will be moved to the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church where friends may call from 10 until 11AM, the funeral hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Gordon B. White, Jr. will officiate and interment will follow at the Mill Creek Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Hospice Care Corporation, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520 or to the charity of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
