Gladys Gwendolyn (Alt) Bain, 84, of Baltimore, Md., and formerly of Brushy Run, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born July 9, 1918, in Brushy Run, she was the daughter of the late Scott R. Alt and Effie (Whezel) Alt. She was also preceded by one son, Larry Wilson; three brothers, Russell Alt, Galen Alt and Titus Alt; and five sisters, infant Goldie Alt, Viola Smith, Vernie Whetzel, Mary Setzer and Hazel Cosner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surviving are one daughter, Gwendolyn Barnes of Kearneysville; one sister, Dorothy Sears of Petersburg; two brothers, Archie Alt of Sparta, Mich., and Victor Alt of Baltimore; two grandchildren, Christine and Kenny Wilson of Baltimore; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Alt Cemetery in Brushy Run. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gonce Funeral Home in Baltimore. Local arrangements are by Schaeffer Funeral Home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
