Janice Emma \u201cJanie\u201d Campbell, 89, of 17 Three Lick Road., Buckhannon, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Nella\u2019s Nursing Home in Crystal Springs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was born Jan. 20, 1914, in Ellamore, a daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Mary Alice Pratt Lewis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Feb. 16, 1930, she married Elmer \u201cKelly\u201d Campbell, who preceded her in death on July 25, 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surviving are two daughters, Irene Linger, Locust Grove, Va., and Mary Sutton, Buckhannon; one sister, Mardell Nichols, Spartansburg, Pa.; one brother-in-law, the Rev. Carus Campbell, Buckhannon; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Kennedy; four sisters, Ruby Harr, Carrie Bell, Mary Ware and Vernetta Ware; four brothers, Elson Lewis, Freddie Lewis, Sam Lewis and John Burton Lewis; and one grandson, Matthew Linger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a seamstress for Reidboard Brothers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a charter member of the First United Brethren in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friends will be received today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park at Buckhannon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
