Mary Harman Teter, 89, of Seneca Rocks, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Teter was born Feb. 18, 1912 in Laneville and was a daughter of the late Asa Harman, Jr and Elizabeth Ketterman Harman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She retired after serving as Seneca Rocks Postmaster for 19 years. She operated a restaurant at Seneca Rocks. She was a member of the Petersburg church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints; and a member of the Rock Cave V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the White Shrine of Elkins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 11, 1947, she married Guy Teter, who survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Jo Heier, State College, PA, and Patricia Ann Long, Elkins; one son, Ronald A. Teter, Seneca Rocks; one sister, Ova Wellman, Huntington; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop David Bradley conducted the funeral at 1 p.m. Monday at the Harman Church of the Brethren. Burial followed in the Harman Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrangements were under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
