Let it be joyfully known that Paul Amedeo DiBacco, 59, of Elkins, finished his labors for a kingdom of love and entered eternal life on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was born Feb. 17, 1943, at Thomas, a son of the late John Vincent DiBacco Sr. and Mary Rossi DiBacco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was the beloved husband of Sandra Tyykila DiBacco, whom he married on July 18, 1970, at Arlington, Va., the devoted father of Lori Marie DiBacco, Elkins, John Michael DiBacco and wife, Erin, Chenoweth DiBacco, Elkins, dedicated grandfather of Michael Thomas DiBacco, loving brother of the Rev. Father John Vincent DiBacco Jr., Martinsburg, Ann Marie Katz and husband, Ira Katz, Laurel, Md., Mary Agnes Miller and husband, Robert Miller Jr., White Hall, Md., and loving uncle to a niece and several nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was a graduate of Mountaineer High School, with the class of 1940, Fairmont State College with the class of 1970 and West Virginia University, with a master\u2019s of science degree in rehabilitation counseling in 1974. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He spent 35 years in public service having worked for the West Virginia Forestry Camp at Davis as a teacher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Huttonsville Correctional Center as a counselor in the diagnostic unit and as a counselor and office manager of the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services, retiring in October of 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was a member of Tygarts Valley Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, Council 603. He attended the Saint Brendan Catholic Church, and for the past two years served on the Diocesan Pastoral Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will come together in Christ\u2019s peace at Saint Brendan Catholic Church, Elkins on Saturday at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mourn because we are human<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To rejoice because we are Christian<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To thank the Father for the gift of his life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate the power of Jesus\u2019 resurrection and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To sing our alleluias of hope because<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are Easter people in life and death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Saint Brendan Catholic Church. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, at 7 p.m. at the church, a prayer service will be recited by the Rev. Father William Anderson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday morning, at the church, the Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father John Vincent DiBacco Jr., and the Rev. Father William Anderson will be the presiders and interment will follow at Saint Brendan Cemetery at Elkins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Saint Brendan Catholic Church Building Fund, PO Box 2205, Elkins, W.Va. 26241, or to the West Virginia Sight Foundation, in care of Tygarts Valley Lions Club, PO Box 123, Beverly, W.Va. 26253 or to Mountain Hospice, 1410 Crim Ave., Belington, W.Va. 26250. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
