Harold Fidler, 93, of East Victoria St., Buckhannon, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Holbrook Nursing Home.

He was born May 19, 1909, in Gilmer County, a son of the late Burton and Orrie Davis Fidler.

He was united in marriage on Jan. 21, 1950, to Loreen Rose Lewis Fidler, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three sons, Larry Dale Fidler of Route 9, Buckhannon, Hurlie R. Fidler of Mabie, and Ralph Eugene Fidler of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Michael E. Fidler and David W. Fidler, both of Buckhannon; six stepgrandsons, Richard Stillwell of Mabie, Robert Stillwell of Korea, Roger Stillwell of Virginia, Delmas Jordan of Diana, Scott Jordan of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Derek Jordan of French Creek; two stepgranddaughters, Crystal and Sarah Jordan, both of Buckhannon; and one great-stepgrandson, Dakota K. Jordan Powers.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mr. Fidler served as a U.S. Army corporal. He was a lifetime member of the French Creek DAV Chapter 36. He was retired from gas wells and also as a part-time employee for Home Hardware.

Mr. Fidler was a Methodist by faith.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Heavner officiating. Interment will follow in Lorentz Cemetery. The Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
