The is an attempt to solve multiple problems with one design, the core project is an Axe (Hatchet) sheath to protect the sharp edge and allow the Axe to be carried on your belt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomake the sheath more versatile, and pocket for a whetstone is added, and knife sheath is added – these allows 2 extra tools to be carried, without cluttering up your belt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll have to make this before I can pass judgement – its possible the sheath will become so thick it will interfer with your movements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These articles led to a monthly column in Boy’s Life – The Slide of the Month by Whittlin Jim Column<\/p>\n\n\n\n

W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles<\/p>\n\n\n\n
