Carving an eagle out of wood, the sample provided in the article has an incredible amount of detail, but in carving and in painting<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Less detail could be carved into the eagle, and difference made up in the painting, or less detail in the carving and less detail in the painting, all depending on the amount of time the carver wants to spend on the eagle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the amount of detail could be less for less experienced painters or carvers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles<\/p>\n\n\n\n
