{"id":72325,"date":"2020-12-24T13:28:34","date_gmt":"2020-12-24T13:28:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/blank-obituary-2020-2\/"},"modified":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","slug":"edward-carl-sonny-knotts-obituary-1955-2020","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/edward-carl-sonny-knotts-obituary-1955-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Edward Carl Sonny Knotts Obituary 1955-2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<center><a style=\"color:Tomato; \" href=\"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/randolph-county-west-virginia-area-obituaries\/\">Return to Randolph County Area Obituaries Home Page<\/a><\/center><br><br>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Edward Carl&nbsp;<em>\u201cSonny\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;Knotts, 65, a resident of Leadmine, passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at home and under the care of Mountain Hospice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sonny was born Wednesday, April 20, 1955, in Parsons, a son of the late Bernard Knotts and Katherine Watring Knotts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sept. 28, 1978, in Oakland, Maryland, he married the former Carolyn Denise Hebb, who preceded him in death on July 24, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Left to cherish Sonny\u2019s memory is one son, Justin Ross Knotts, two sisters, Barbara&nbsp;<em>\u201cBobbie\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;Hottle of Leadmine and Sandra Owens of Location, two grandchildren, Ichigo and Lanaya Knotts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife, was one daughter, Jamie Lynn Knotts Moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sonny was a graduate of Parsons High School and had worked for many years as a coal miner. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his side by side. He also enjoyed his John Deere tractor and spending time tinkering around with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sonny\u2019s request for cremation will be honored. Interment will follow at a later date in the Watring Family Cemetery on Hog Back Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Carolyn Denise Hebb Knotts.
