The morning of Thursday, December 3, 2020, Ruby \u201cHelen\u201d Pennington Arbogast, 80, of Harman passed on from this earth to Glory following a brief illness and hospital stay at Davis Medical Center in Elkins. God ultimately gave her peace and reunited her with her late husband, Ray Garnett Arbogast and grandson, Matthew Garnett Wilbert.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Helen was born on April 27, 1940, in Dry Fork, a daughter of the late Gordon Henry Pennington and Clemence Virginia Roy Pennington. On September 6, 1960, she married the love of her life, Ray Garnett Arbogast, who preceded her in death on May 20, 1991.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Left to cherish Helen\u2019s memory are two daughters, Natalie Elaine Wilbert and husband, Dan, of Yorktown, VA, and Deanna Dawn Armentrout and husband, Randy, of Harman, one grandson, Dillon Doyle Wilbert of Yorktown, VA, two sisters, Beatrice Marie Johnson and Janice Lee Jones and husband, Raymond, two brothers, George Henry Pennington and wife, Charlotte and Ronald Keith Pennington and wife, Carol, and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Preceding Helen in death, besides her parents, husband, and grandson, are sister, Susan Faye Helmick, brother, Ezra Carl Pennington, and infant brother David Pennington.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Helen was a graduate of Harman High School with the class of 1958. She had worked as a waitress at Blackwater Falls Lodge, a kitchen helper at Canaan Valley State Park, and in the parts store at Roy\u2019s Travel Trailers. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and tending to her garden. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time and talking with them. She was a member of the Job Church of God. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and church who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator and rejoicing with loved ones that have passed on before her.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Helen at a visitation to be held at the Job Church of God on Monday, December 7, 2020, from 4pm until 7pm. A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the church with interment immediately following at Flanagan Hill Cemetery. Reverend Todd Rhodes will officiate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
