{"id":72531,"date":"2020-12-24T17:02:56","date_gmt":"2020-12-24T17:02:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/blank-obituary-2020-3\/"},"modified":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","slug":"robert-edward-eddie-jones-obituary-1960-2020","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/robert-edward-eddie-jones-obituary-1960-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Robert Edward Eddie Jones Obituary 1960-2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<center><a style=\"color:Tomato; \" href=\"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/randolph-county-west-virginia-area-obituaries\/\">Return to Randolph County Area Obituaries Home Page<\/a><\/center><br><br>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Robert Edward&nbsp;<em>\u201cEddie\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<em>\u201cAka Bruce and Joe\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;Jones, 60, a resident of Philippi, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Eddie was born March 23, 1960, in Philippi, a son of the late Richard E. and Helen Pearl (Gouer) Jones.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Eddie was united in marriage on June 29, 1979, to Lorinda (Montgomery) Jones, who survives at home.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Also surviving is daughters, Pamela Louise Payne and husband, CJ, of Philippi and Topanga Jo Ann Jones of Philippi; sisters, Leona Carpenter and husband, Jr., of Belington, Carol Haught of Moundsville, Jackie Linger of Belington and Betty Garber of Philippi; brother, Richard Jones and wife, Pam, of Philippi; grandson, Robert E. Lee Payne of Philippi; stepgranddaughter, Harley Payne of Grantsville; several nieces and nephews, and K-9 companion, Ash.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Eddie was preceded in death by sisters, JoAnn Jones and Frances Jones.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Eddie worked as a store manager for Sheetz. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved sports especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He would always watch them with his youngest daughter. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to people and was a master griller.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory, 220 N. Walnut St. in Philippi on Sunday, Dec. 13, from 6 \u2013 8 p.m., Monday from 8 a.m. \u2013 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m. \u2013 2 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Mt.
