{"id":72656,"date":"2020-12-24T20:32:38","date_gmt":"2020-12-24T20:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/blank-obituary-2020-3\/"},"modified":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","modified_gmt":"2023-01-17T01:05:10","slug":"rebecca-lane-knight-obituary-1948-2020","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/rebecca-lane-knight-obituary-1948-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Rebecca Lane Knight Obituary 1948-2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<center><a style=\"color:Tomato; \" href=\"https:\/\/www.snapwhole.com\/index.php\/randolph-county-west-virginia-area-obituaries\/\">Return to Randolph County Area Obituaries Home Page<\/a><\/center><br><br>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Rebecca Lane Knight, 72, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, in the WV Caring Facility in Elkins.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Rebecca was born March 30, 1948, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late William&nbsp;<em>\u201cBill\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;Eugene Knight and Louise Bernadine (Stanfill) Knight.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Surviving are children, John Stacy Ball of Clarksburg, Jason Scott Bailey of Elkins, Nora Boyd and husband Paul of Elkins and Jamie Bailey of Elkins; sisters, Cheryl Ball and husband Sterling of Davis, Flora Cox of Sutton and Patricia Freeman of Fairmont; brothers, Charles Wesley Knight of Brushy Fork Community, Bernard Stanford Knight of Philippi and Eugene Knight of Brushy Fork Community; stepbrother, Randall Mouser of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, Lacey Ball, Winter Ball, Harley Ball, Alexis Sanchez, Amanda Bailey, Caitlyn Bailey, Caleb Bailey, David Bailey, Hannah Bailey, McKenzie Summerfield, Jonathon Summerfield, Sawyer Summerfield, Taylor Summerfield, Elijah Reynolds; and 15 great grandchildren<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Rebecca was preceded in death by grandson, Joey Ball, brothers, Marcus Bouton, David Knight, and Bill Knight, sister, Lucinda Rollins, nieces Lori Knight and Becky Ann Rollins, nephew Logan Harding.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Rebecca worked as a registered nurse for the Huttonsville Correctional Center. She was an avid bowler, loved to read, play cards and was known to be a card shark. She enjoyed watching games shows, and spending time with her family. Rebecca was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School class of 1966. She attended and graduated from Clarksburg Beauty Academy, received her CNA from Randolph County Vo-tech, and was a graduate of D&amp;E College class of 1995 with a degree in nursing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory, 220 N. Walnut St. in Philippi on Friday, Dec. 11, from 1noon \u2013 2 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Mt.
