James Burton Oldaker, 75, of Route 4, Buckhannon, Kesling Mill Road, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at his home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Oldaker was born Feb. 24, 1927, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Coleman and Freda Day Oldaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 17, 1945, he married Ruth Mahala Bennett Oldaker, who preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surviving are three sons, Danny Oldaker, Scott Oldaker and James “Jimmy” Oldaker, all of Buckhannon; five daughters, Susan Benson, Sandra Ball and Mary Perkins, all of Buckhannon, Peggy Thorne of Philippi, and Marsha Allman of Jane Lew; three sisters, Helen Wagner and Augustine Green, both of Buckhannon, and Dorothy Hill of Georgia; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Allen Oldaker; one grandson, two twin great-granddaughters and one sister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Oldaker was a truck driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. S.L. Green officiating. Interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
