Riggs 1936-2002 Obituary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sylvia B. Riggs, 66, a resident of Dailey, where she had made her home with her son, Terry Hosey, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at 9:05 a.m. at her residence. She had been in her usual health and death was sudden and unexpected.<br><br>She was born May 12, 1936, at Dailey, a daughter of the late Elijah and Nora Barb Riggs.<br><br>She is survived by her only child a son, Terry Hosey of Dailey; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman Riggs and wife Geraldine, of Mill Creek; one sister-in-law, Freda Riggs of Dailey; one special cousin, Junior Barb of Mill Creek; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.<br><br>Preceding her in death besides her parents were three brothers, Willie, Oliver and Archie Riggs.<br><br>She had formerly been employed at Nella&#8217;s Nursing Home and at Sissie&#8217;s Restaurant. She also took care of the elderly people for several years in the Dailey community. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the latter Day Saints.<br><br>Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home today after 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. Bishop Lynn Muhlestein and Elder Virgil Bennett of the Church of the Latter Day Saints will officiate.
