Mary S. Mills, 39, of Arlington Addition, Clarksburg, died Monday morning, March 25, 2002, following an extended illnss.

She was born May 6, 1962, in Buckhannon, the seventh of 13 children of Velma Cowger Jordan, who survives in Hacker Valley, and the late Gerald Curt Bender.

On April 10, 1982, she married Jeffrey R. Mills, who survives.

Also surviving are five brothers, Herb Bender, Elkins, Ed, Ernie, Marvin and Andy Bender, all of Richmond, Va.; six sisters, Linda Mayle, Clarksburg, Connie Justice, Charleston, Sue Pugh, French Creek, Joan Williams, Hacker Valley, Renetta Crow, Richmond, Va., and Dee Harvey, Silver Spring, Md.; her stepfather, Edward “Jink” Jodan, Hacker Valley; her maternal grandmother, Effie Cowgar, Clarksburg; her mother- and father-in-law, Maxine and Charles M. Mills, Arlington Addition, Clarksburg; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Bender.

She was a certified nursing assistant and medical assistant, having worked at Meadowview and Lida Clark nursing homes. She attended the Church of God, Liberty Addition, and very much enjoyed reading.

Friends may call at Greathouse-gemondo Funeral Home, Nutter Fort, Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Chris Duckworth presiding. Interment will follow in Garden of the Good Shepherd, Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.<\/p>
