He was born Friday December 21, 1951 in Elkins, WV, a son of the late Richard Junior and Nellie Barrickman Yokum. On Friday March 9, 1973 in Valley Head, WV he married the former Lorraine Blankenship. He attended the schools of Randolph County, WV. He was employed as a coal miner as a young man. Later in life he was a mechanic and a self employed salvage dealer. Lynn and his family lived in Broward County, FL from 1979 until 1991 when he decided to return home to the mountains of WV. His hobbies included fishing and buying junk. Lynn&#8217;s pride and joy were his grandchildren: Kelsie and Kailen Yokum, Kristen White and Kaitlinn Lanham all of Huttonsville, WV, Mazhi Belt of Jane Lew, WV, Dani and Stephanie Brown of Elkins, WV and Larrissa Brown of IN; Devon and Daniel White,Tyler and David Lanham all of Huttonsville and Joshua and Kevin Hefner of Jane Lew, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Richard Yokum. Lynn&#8217;s survivors include his wife: Lorraine Blankenship Yokum; daughters: Kimberly White and husband Terry,and Beth Lanham and husband Danny all of Huttonsville, Pamela Belt and husband Chad and Tammy Hefner and husband Kevin all of Jane Lew; sons: Lynnie Yokum and companion Heather Lambert of Huttonsville and Danny Brown and companion Deloris Snelson of Elkins; brothers: Douglas &#8220;Speck&#8221; Yokum and wife Angie of Mill Creek and David Yokum and wife Joyce of VA; very special sister-in-law: Paula Yokum of Poolesville, MD and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday February 19th, 2010 at The Randolph Funeral Home and Crermation Services; 100 Meadow Lane; Valley Bend, WV. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday February 19th, 2010 at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Frank Stanley officiating.
