EVELYN LORENA PINGLEY TACY 1928-2011 Obituary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EVELYN LORENA PINGLEY TACY, age 81 years, a lifelong resident of the Becky\u2019s Creek community, Huttonsville, WV went home to be with her master Sunday afternoon, June 27, 2010 at her home.

She was born Friday, December 21, 1928 at Becca Creek, WV a daughter of the late John W. Pingley and Della Mae Tacy Pingley. On June 8, 1947 at Lewisburg, WV she was married to her loving husband Pete Edwin Tacy, who survives. She leaves behind one daughter, Donna Tacy Lemons, one son, Pete E. Tacy, II and wife Anita, all of Huttonsville, one granddaughter, Jaina L. Cahill and husband Aaron, Fairmont, two brothers, John Pingley and wife Charlotte and Kessler Pingley and wife Sue, all of Huttonsville, two sisters, Geraldine Rosencrance, Huttonsville, and Leonora \u201cPatty\u201d Beavers, Hines, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by eight sisters, Perlean, Irene and Dorotha Pingley, Georgia Berry, Ora Chase, Eva Janos, Woodsie Lindsay and Grace Smith, and one brother, Glen Pingley.

Her life was always on Becca Creek, where she attended the two room Pingley School. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends, cooking for all of them. She dearly loved her flowers especially her dahlias. She had worked at the former Reidboard Brothers Sewing Factory, Coastal Lumber and Nella\u2019s Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and devoted farmer\u2019s wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of the Huttonsville Rebekah Lodge # 103, was a member of the Hart\u2019s Chapel Church and attended the local churches.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 6 to 9 PM, Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Herman Jones and the Rev. William Sullivan will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, WV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
