DANIEL RAY \u201cSTEPP\u201d TAYLOR, age 61 years, a former resident of Elkins, WV and a more recent resident of Hanahan, SC departed this life early Sunday morning, October 10, 2010 at Trident Medical Center, in Charleston, SC.

He was born Tuesday, December 28, 1948 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Donald Ray Taylor and Rebecca Smith Taylor. Surviving are one son, Daniel Ray Taylor, II of Elkins; one daughter, Angela Taylor of Hanahan, SC; three brothers: Richard Taylor, FL; Donald Taylor, GA; and Steven Taylor, GA; and five grandchildren, Megan Taylor, Ashley Chenoweth, Micayla Pratt, Chloie Taylor and Tristyn Freeman.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Glenn \u201cJerry\u201d Taylor.

He attended Roosevelt High School in Kent, OH. He was a veteran of the United States Army; having served during the Vietnam conflict. He was employed as a truck driver, was owner and operator of Monavie Internet and Hawksnest Marketing Internet Company. He was an antique car enthusiast.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Friday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Ronnie Roy will officiate and cremation will follow. The H. W. Daniel\u2019s Post # 29, American Legion will present the American Flag.<\/p>
