Martha Patricia Currence, age 69 years, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born May 28, 1941 at Hemlock, a daughter of the late Lunda Herron Walker. Martha was raised by her grandparents, Stark and Mattie Herron who also preceded her in death. She was married to Esaw Currence who preceded her in death. She is survived by her companion, Elbert \u201cLee\u201d Fincham. Two sons, William Currence and companion Gladys Howell, of Elkins and Austin Currence and wife Theresa, of Mill Creek. Four daughters, Mary Lauer and husband Mark, of North Dakota, Elizabeth Russ, of Elkins, Angela Pearl Brown, of Beverly and Patricia Currence, of Mill Creek. Also surviving is one sister, Janet Hosaflook, of Mill Creek, one sister in law, Linda Ryan of Mabie, twenty one grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Jerry Ryan and one grandson. Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Randolph County Senior Center. She was a Methodist by faith.

Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Norma Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery near Hemlock. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Martha Patricia Currence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
