Richard Nelson Skeen, 70, a resident of Parkersburg, passed from this life Saturday evening, May 25, 2013, at Valentine\u2019s Assisted Living Facility in Beverly. He was born Thursday, July 9, 1942 in Nitro, a son of the late Avard Nelson Skeen and Lottie Elsie Graham Skeen. Left to cherish Richard\u2019s memory are two sisters: Judith L. Radford and husband James of Gambrills, MD and Leah J. Bahus of Scottsdale, AZ, and close friends and neighbors: Leonard and Ruth Gladowski of Parkersburg. Richard graduated from Marshall University. He worked as a bank examiner in the Delmarva Area. Richard retired as a procurement agent for the US Army in Fort Monmouth, NJ. He was an avid golfer, loved animals, and enjoyed spending the winters in Myrtle Beach. At the family\u2019s request, Richard was cremated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
