ROXIE LEIGHANN PUDDER LOUK 1922-2011 Obituary<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ROXIE LEIGHANN PUDDER LOUK, age 88 years, a resident of Mill Creek, WV departed this life Wednesday June 29, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Jacqueline Gear at West Augusta, VA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was born Tuesday, November 14, 1922 at Huttonsville, WV a daughter of the late Charlie Pudder and Nancy Louk Pudder. On May 26, 1939 at Monterey, VA she was married to Forrest Willard Louk, who preceded her in death May 10, 1969. Surviving are five sons, Jerry Lee Louk, Mill Creek; Joseph Larry Louk and wife Carol, Churchville, VA; Jerl Lawrence Louk and wife Karen; and John Leo Louk, both of Maurertown, VA; Jeffrey Loan Louk, Mill Creek; six daughters, Janet Lenore White; and Juanita Lillian Taylor, both of Churchville, VA; Janice Leona Springfield and husband Edward, Mill Creek; Judy Lucille Tolliver, Achowee, VA; Josephine Loretta Snyder, Huttonsville, WV; Jacqueline Louella Gear and husband Ronald, West Augusta, VA; one brother, Otto Pudder, Englishtown, NJ; one sister, Verida Crotchfelt, Howell, NJ; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preceding her in death are two daughters, Janeva Lou Cogar; and Jennev Loraine Butler; seven brothers; and one sister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Roxie attended the schools of Huttonsville and Mill Creek, was a former factory worker. Also worked at Herman\u2019s Greenhouse while raising her children. She loved quilting, bingo, casino\u2019s, gardening, Country & bluegrass music and enjoyed time with family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Saturday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Sunday, at 12:30 PM. Chaplin Dennis Taylor will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, WV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
