OBITUARY: MOLLIE ELLEN BURDYCK Mollie Ellen Burdyck, 95, of Sinclair Road, Moatsville, died Friday, February 1, 2013, in the Davis Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born January 24, 1918, at Kasson, a daughter of the late Newton Jasper and Flarney (Rosier) Channel. Her husband, Frank Burdyck, preceded her in death on October 23, 1980. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and a number of cousins including Don and Sue Bowman, She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Hovatter and by a brother, Albert Channel. Mrs. Burdyck had lived in the Baltimore, Md. area during her working life. She was a former employee of the National Can Company. She attended the Berea United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., on Sunday, February 3, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Marvin Cline will officiate and interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour on Sunday. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.<\/p>
