Archie Gene \u201cBud\u201d Brown, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at his home. He was born December 28, 1928 in Braxton, WV, a son of the late McKinley J. and Jennie Crowe Brown. On April 14, 2004 he married Carolyn Black Smith who survives. Also surviving are one son, Charles \u201cChuck\u201d Brown and wife Kristen of Frenchton, WV; two step daughters, Donna Thomason and husband Benjamin of Frenchton and Delorse Smith of Buckhannon, WV; three granddaughters, one grandson, one great-grandson, six step grandchildren, six step great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two brothers, June and Monta Brown both of Replete, WV and four sisters, Juanita Mollhan of Replete, Frances Lunsford and Rose Morrison both of Braxton County, WV and Neil Bickel of Webster Springs, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene Anderson Brown; one son, Randy Gene Brown; step son, Everett Paul Smith, II, two brothers, Hobe Brown and Infant Baby Brother and one sister, Elsie Sears. Mr. Brown was a school bus driver for the Upshur County Board of Education for 25 years. He was member of the Sago Baptist Church. Friends will be received Monday, December 14, 2009 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Church Cemetery at Hampton, WV. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
