Mary Virginia \u201cGin\u201d Helmick Bosworth, age 98 years, a resident of the Chenoweth Creek Road, Elkins and most recently of Valentine\u2019s Personal Care Home, passed away at 12:30 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Hospice Care Regional In-patient Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was born May 8, 1914 at Beverly, a daughter of the late Morgan and Arthelia Kerns Helmick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 2, 1936, she was married to John Robert Bosworth who preceded her in death. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surviving are two daughters, Joan Thompson and husband Franklin, Mechanicsville, MD and Wini Fink of Elkins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five grandchildren, Anita Marie Michaels, Clinton, MD, Denise Lynette Long and husband Robert, Moorefield, WV, Carrie Lee Fink, Charlotte, NC, Johnnie Sue Bennett and husband Phillip of Charlotte, NC and Robert Bosworth Fink of Fairmont, two great grandchildren, Caleb McKenzie and Cara Jo Long of Moorefield also survive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also preceding her in death was one son, Newton Carroll Bosworth, two brothers, Woodrow Helmick and Morgan Helmick, Jr. and five sisters, Louise Helmick, Wilda Mae Westfall, Madeline Campbell, Macil Burd and Helen Caplinger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Bosworth was a graduate of Beverly High School with the Class of 1933. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a member of John Hart Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was a homemaker who loved cooking, canning and gardening.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Peter A. Vial officiating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road near Elkins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Fund, c\/o Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, 450 S. Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mrs. Bosworth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Virginia \u201cGin\u201d Helmick Bosworth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
