Shannon Renae McCollam, 32, a resident of Mill Creek, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday morning, January 20, 2012. Shannon was born Tuesday, June 26, 1979, in Elkins, WV, the daughter of Donna Denise Snyder McCollam McLaughlin and Allen Frank McCollam. Shannon is survived by her mother and stepfather, Donna and Ronnie McLaughlin of Newburg, MD; her father Allen Frank McCollam of Mill Creek, WV; and her pride and joy, son Cash Everett Fox, who resides in Huttonsville, WV, with his father Chauncy Fox. Also surviving Shannon are stepsisters Trish Higgs, Alisha McLaughlin, and Nikki McLaughlin; her grandmother Glenna McCollam, Mill Creek, WV; aunts Delores Louk, Huttonsville, WV, Debbie Armstrong, Mill Creek, WV, Dianna McCauley, Hewett WV, Dora Kelly, Dailey WV, and Ronetta Lanham, Ravenna,OH; uncles Denver Snyder, McGaheysville, VA, Daniel Snyder, Hopewell, VA, David Snyder, Valley Bend, WV, Charles McCollam and Victor McCollam, both of Mill Creek; her cousins Paul Fincham, Susan Evick, Joni Farr, Lance Scott, Nicole Matthew, Jack Armstrong, Kenneth Kelly, Jesse Kelly, Justin Snyder, Ben Snyder, Isaac Snyder, Josh Snyder, Whitney Snyder, Bradley Lanham, Doug McCollam, Ricky McCollam and Davie McCollam; and several nieces and nephews. Shannon was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred Irvin \u201cPug\u201d and Virginia \u201cMae\u201d Snyder and paternal grandparents Frank McCollam and Idell Rapp. Shannon had been employed by Snowshoe Ski Resort, and was an employee of the Huttonsville Correctional Center until becoming disabled due to multiple sclerosis. Shannon loved snowboarding, reading, and painting. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, January 25, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Randolph Funeral Home. The Funeral Service for Shannon will be held Thursday, January 26, at 2:00 p.m., at the Mountain View Church of the Nazarene, located 2 miles beyond the Huttonsville Correctional Center on Rt.250 South. Pastor Joe Hise will officiate. Interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.<\/p>
