HELEN AILSTOCK ADAMS, age 82 years, a resident of Proctor, WV, departed this life Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Acuity Specialty Hospital at Bellaire, OH.

She was born June 29, 1931 in Randolph County, WV the daughter of the late Frank C. Ailstock, Sr. and Ila J. Bohon Ailstock.

She was a retired RD Carrier and clerk from the US Postal Office in Proctor and Wheeling, and a member of Graysville United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Adams, a son, John L. Adams, a brother, Frank C. Ailstock, Jr. and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Finch and Donna Lea Ailstock.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth “Rick” (Susan) Adams of Parkersburg, WV, two daughters, Sue White of Moundsville and Debbie Adams of Bemis, WV; four grandchildren, Jacqie (Ben) Sperling of TX, Levi White and his fianc\u00e9, Raka Banerjee of Washington, DC, Grant White of Moundsville and Michelle (Tony) Carpenter of Moundsville and Great-granddaughter, Rain; four step-grandsons, Chris, Greg, Doug and Jon Wood and her special baby boy, Joey Dunlap.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 2 PM until time of Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville with Rev. Mary Ann Nolte officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from Noon until 2 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 PM. The Rev. Jim Murphy will officiate and interment will follow at the Elkins Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Elkins.<\/p>
