Bill was born Friday, July 23, 1937 in Elkins, a son of the late Harold ODell and Minnie Sarah Collett ODell. Bill lived with his loving companion of thirty eight years, Rose Martin, who survives in Elkins. Also left to cherish his memory are twelve children, Edward ODell and wife Elva of AZ, Jeff ODell and wife Bonnie of SC, Timmy ODell and wife Cindy of AZ, Marner ODell of Elkins, Billy Jo ODell of CO, Robert Embeck of Elkins, Mickey Martin of Mill Creek, Melissa Thomas and husband Seth of Elkins, Tynk Brown of Elkins, Sis Sharp and husband Lee of Belington, Susie Fortney of Beveryly and April Channell and husband Robert of Elkins, three siblings, Joanne Coffman, Laura Moats and James Ed ODell, thirty grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and special daughter in law, Barbara ODell. Preceding Bill in death besides his parents were three children, James, Donald and Michael ODell, one granddaughter, Stephanie Ball, one great grandson, Wyatt Worles and one sister Wilda Sutherland. Bill attended the schools of Randolph County and had been employed for many years at Kelly Foundry in Elkins. Bill enjoyed fixing clocks and in his younger years, working on cars. He was an avid football fan. A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 3P until 5P, the funeral hour. Rev. Julie Dean will officiate.
