Ruth Janet Wilson, 84, of 317 Hoff St., Belington, died early Sunday evening, Jan. 6, 2002, in Talbott Personal Care Home. She had been in declining health since shortly after Thanksgiving.

Mrs. Wilson was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Hammond community near Grafton, a daughter of the late Issac and Ethel Mitchell Haddix.

On March 3, 1934, she married Ivan Ray Wilson, who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1981.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Etheleen) Shaw, Belington; a son, Billy Ray Wilson and wife, Shirley, Belington; a brother, Howard Haddix, Canton, Ohio; three sisters, Myrtle Upton, Betty Edens and Delores Kennedy, all of Philippi; two grandchildren, Kathie DeGard, Whiting, Ind., and Randy Shaw, Akron, Ohio; two great-granddaughters, Kiesha Duke, Indianapolis, Ind., and Kristina Shaw, Fleetwood, Pa.; and two great-great-grandsons, Ethan Duke and Eli Duke, both of Indianapolis, Ind.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Isner and Norma Humphreys; and two brothers, Bill Haddix and Calvin Haddix.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She attended Light of Christ Chapel in Belington.

Funeral Arrangements: Friends may call at Schoonover-stemple Funeral Home in Belington today from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Jim Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
