Veryl Forrest Warner 1921-2002 Obituary

Veryl Forrest Warner, 80, a former resident of Clermont and Leesburg, Fla., and more recently a resident of 1707 Lavalette Ave., Elkins, departed this life, Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Death was attributed to a stroke.

He was born Oct. 5, 1921, at Job, a son of the late William Bryan Warner and Connie Heltzel Warner.

During December 1947, at Job, he was married to the former Nelda Irene Lambert Warner, who survives.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mary Ruth Elza, Whitmer, Anna May Mick, Richwood, and Betty Jo Meyerhoeffer, Dayton, Va.; one aunt, Nina Heltzel Armstrong, Mapleton, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Heltzel Warner and Bryan Junior Warner.

He was a graduate of Harman High School with the class of 1938 and attended Davis & Elkins College. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy. He had worked for the Glen L. Martin company and worked in the Home Improvement Business in Baltimore, Md. He was a member of the Pickering Lodge No. 146, AF & AM at Cockeysville, Md

Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jeff Falter will officiate and interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery at Job. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Rosenbaum Family House, PO Box 8228, Morgantown, W.Va. 26506-8228 or to the charity of your choice.
