Albert M. “Jim” Delaney, 82, of Mims, Fla., died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Parrish Medical center.

He was born May 29, 1919, in Parsons, a son of the late Francis Earl Delaney and Ida Myrtle Baker Delaney Dye.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Juanita “Win” of Mims, Fla.; one son, Thomas of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Marian of Huntsville, Ala., Martha Walls of New Market, Ala., and Donna Delaney of Cocoa, Fla; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Earl “Mutt” Delaney of Parsons; and two sisters, Marijane Martin of Holly Meadows Country Club Road, and Betty Jennings of Redhouse.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy; and two sisters, Pauline and Dorine.

Mr. Delaney graduated from Parsons High School in 1936. He was a veteran of World War II, retiring as a major. He went to Brevard County, Fla., in 1978 from Huntsville, Ala. He retired as an engineer for NASA where he worked for 30 years. He also worked for USBI for 15 years. He was a member of Spirit Fire World Outreach Church in Titusville.

Funeral services were held at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, Fla
