Mary E. Lowman -2002 Obituary

Mary E. Lowman, 79, of Buckhannon, died Monday, May 20, 2002.

She was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Freda Colvin of Jane Lew.

Surviving are her two sisters, Mrs. Serena Tomaschko of Clarksburg, and Mrs. Anna Hinzman and husband, Thomas, of Weston. Mrs. Lowman’s son, Daniel Leigh Lowman, resides in Buckhannon with his wife, Marianna. Her daughter, Libby Lowman Randall, also resides in Buckhannon with her husband, Steve. Her two grandchildren are Jennifer Randall of Washington, D.C., and Scott Randall of Buckhannon. Her two stepgrandchildren are Dreama and Eugene Church of Buckhannon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Roy Leigh Lowman, who practiced as a dentist in Upshur County.

Her activities included: active membership at the First Presbyterian Church, PEO (Chapter A), and Bridge Club of Buckhannon.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and great-aunt whose legacy will be the love and laughter she brought to her family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Lowman to First Presbyterian Church in Buckhannon.
