Glen Brine Moore 1930-2010 Obituary

Glen Brine Moore, 79 of Elkins, WV entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning December 5, 2010 at home surrounded by family. He was born on Monday December 29, 1930 in Randolph County, WV a son of the late Charles Franklin Moore and Sally Ann Pritt Moore. Glen had attended the schools of Randolph County. He was employed in the lumber and timber industry for several years before retiring in 1989 from Elkins Lumber Company. He was an outdoorsman who loved going hunting, fishing, cutting wood and camping. On Tuesday November 1, 1949 he married the former Frances Jean Moats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Crystal Moore; one grandson Michael Wegman and one great-grandson: Scott McCauley Francis; four brothers: Wilbert, Ralph, Clarence and Sammy Moore and five sisters: Ruth Bond, Millie Fansler, Lillian Wood, Cleo Light and Fanny Avery. Left to cherish Glen’s memories are his wife Frances Moore of Elkins; one son: Tommy Glen Moore of Elkins, WV; four daughters: Linda L. McCauley of Elkins, WV, Judy A. White and husband Edward of Job, WV, Glenda Kay Helmick and Betty S. Blake and husband Rondal all of Elkins, WV; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; one brother Okey J. Moore and wife Faye of Elkins, WV and one sister: Virgie Schoonover of Elkins, WV. Family visitation will be held from 11am until 12 noon on Saturday December 11, 2010 at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Public visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2pm on Saturday December 11, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday December 11, 2010 at the funeral home chapel with The Reverend Denzil Arbogast and The Reverend Robert Lowther officiating. At Glen’s request his body will be cremated.
