Agnes V. Tephabaugh Feaster, 85, a former resident of 100 Tallman Ave., the Elkins Manor in Elkins, and for a month a resident of Colonial Place in Elkins, departed this life at 7:50 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at the Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health for a week although death was sudden.

She was born Monday, May 6, 1918, at Elkins, and raised in Thomas, a daughter of the late Floyd L. Tephabaugh and Bessie M. Kerns Tephabaugh.

On Sept. 15, 1937, at Buckhannon, she was married to Sidney Owen Feaster, who preceded her in death March 16, 1983.

Surviving are one daughter, Wanda Schoonover and husband, Austin, of Elkins; one son, Sidney “Skip” Feaster and wife, Carol, of Beltsville, Md.; one sister, Joan Hamilton of Bel-Air, Md.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, one great- great- grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins; a special friend, Rose Fox; and a special niece, Jinx H. McNeer.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were two infant daughters, Melinda Mae and Souel Adair Feaster; one sister, Jacque Smith; two infant brothers; two brother-in-laws, Orlo G. Smith and Harold J. Hamilton; and two nieces, Janie Elizabeth Hamilton and Jerri Lynn H. Graziani.

Agnes was a graduate of Thomas High School with the class of 1935 and retired as the head cashier at the Memorial General Hospital in 1980. She was a life member of the Blackwater Chapter 45, Order of the Eastern Star at Davis, was a member of the Women’s Club, the Davis & Elkins College Aid, the Emma Scott Garden Club, the Bridge Club 16, the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church and Circle 2 of the church.

At the request of the deceased, her remains were donated to the Human Gift’s Registry at West Virginia University in Morgantown.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins with the Rev. Jeff Falter officiating. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church Circle 2, 450 Randolph Ave., Elkins, W.Va., 26241 or to the Elkins-Randolph County Public Library, 416 Davis Ave., Elkins, W.Va., 26241.
