ALBERT JUNIOR JOHNSON Albert Junior Johnson, 69, of Rt. #1, Moatsville, died Tuesday morning, August 31, at his home. He had been in his usual health and his death was unexpected. He was born December 16, 1940, at Lillian Community, Philippi, a son of the late William Henry and Liza Jane (Kennedy) Johnson. Survivors include seven sons, Albert Alan Johnson, Winchester, Va., Michael Anthony Johnson, Robert Dale Johnson and Sidney James Johnson, all of Moatsville, John David Johnson and Tony Edwin Johnson, both of Philippi, Kevin Kennedy, Moatsville; one daughter, Shannon Parker, U. S. Air Force in Afghanistan; one sister, Rosey Mae Berdine, Philippi; two brothers, Robert Johnson and Moses Johnson, both of Zanesville, OH; 24 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was self employed as a handy-man and trapper. He was a former employee of the W.Va. Dept. Of Highways. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to play music, especially his acoustic guitar and to testify about the Lord. He was devoted to his sons. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, at the Peoples Chapel Church. The Rev. Ruston Seaman and Mr. William Berdine will officiate and interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Friends may call at the Peoples Chapel Church from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour on Friday. The Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
