Alfred “Alfie” Tenney, 15, of Route 2, Box 240 A, French Creek, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, in Oklahoma City, Okla., following an accidental shooting.

He was born July 14, 1987, at Elkins, a son of Danny Tenney and Mary Young Tenney, who survive in French Creek.

Also surviving are three brothers, Joshua Tenney, Danny Tenney Jr. and Dusty Tenney, all of French Creek; paternal grandparents, Robert D. and Mamie Tenney Sr., French Creek; four aunts, Diana Gould, Adrian, Connie Tiffner, Ginger Tenney and Nettie Mae Allen, all of French Creek; three uncles, Robert Tenney, Edd Tenney and Matthew Tenney, all of French Creek; and a special friend, Darren Bowman, Buckhannon.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Burma Young Hamner.

He was a student at Buckhannon-upshur High School. He was a Johavah’s Witness.

Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home today from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, with Vernon Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Elbon Cemetery in Sago.
