Alma Pearl Phipps, 78, of Murray, Ky., died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
She was born on Feb. 5, 1924, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Ira and Eula Ramsey Jackson.
She was married to Robert W. Phipps, who passed away on Nov. 10, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dolores “Dee” Gantt and husband, Vernon, of Murray, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Reta Riffle of Middleburg, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Michelle and Darren Gantt of Murray, Ky.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar Jackson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Laurinburg, N.C.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel Sunday from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will be in Upshur County Memorial Park.
