Alta Lucille Collins, 70, of Box 476, Curtin Road, Webster Springs, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Webster Springs Memorial Hospital in Webster Springs following a long illness.

She was born April 9, 1933, in Hacker Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Collins; her father, Sherman F. Cutlip; her mother, Bertha E. Hawkins; her stepmother, Zena Ware Cutlip; her sisters, Mrs. Rex (Leola Cutlip) Gillespie and Mrs. Forest (Kathern Cutlip) Pugh; Mrs. Oria (Grace Cutlip) Pudder; and Mrs. Paul (Martha Cutlip) Davidson.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Karen) Collins Bradley of Spotsylvania, Va., and Brenda K. Collins Gregory of Cowen; one sister, Mrs. Doug (Nancy Jean) Bosley; four granddaughters, Marcel Southern, Sandy Orris, Carrie Woods Herrington and Melody Woods; one grandson, Chad Woods; four great-grandsons, Eric Southern, Joe Southern, Kyle Orris and Zachery Johnson; and one great-granddaughter, Katie Orris.

She loved to fish and attended the Barton Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. Bob Rogers of Webster Springs will officiate and interment will follow at Hodam Creek Cemetery at Hacker Valley.
