Anna Mae Haymond Schoonover, age 79, a resident of Chenoweth Creek, passed from this life Friday morning, May 25, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Anna was born June 26, 1932 at Kanawha Head, a daughter of the late Cecil Haymond and Lucille Isenhart Schoonover.

She was married to the late Ivan Dale Schoonover who preceeded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by her loving children; Sharon McBee, of Morgantown, Keith Schoonover and wife Kathie of Elkins, Charlene Fenstermacher of Elkins, and Stephanie Chenoweth, and husband Jim, and Sherri Taylor, and husband ‘Buster‘, both of whom she raised; stepmother Lucille Haymond of FL, five siblings; Millie Murphy of Md, Amy Rakes of VA, Anna Robinson of FL, Norman Varner of Elkins and Clinton Haymond of VA., eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one step granddaughter, three great-great grandchildren and six step great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

wPreceding her in death besides her parents were one brother, Dale Schoonover and one sister, Pauline Broughton, and one son in law Harold Fenstermacher. Anna attended the schools of Randolph County and the Beverly High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and canning. She enjoyed Bingo and watching her afternoon “Soaps”. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 11 AM until 2 PM the funeral hour. The Reverend Mike Ford will officiate and interment will follow at the Chenoweth Cemetery on Elliots Ridge Road.
