Anna Marjorie Hite Starr, 75, of Valley Head, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at the home of her daughter, Brenda Starr, who resides near Huttsonville.

Mrs. Starr was born Jan. 14, 1927, in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Walker and Sylvia Turner Hite.

On March 3, 1951, in Mill Creek, she married Cam Floyd Starr, who survives in Valley Head.

Also surviving are four sons, Billy Lee Starr and Cam Floyd Starr Jr., both of Beverly, Robert Len Starr, Lompoc, Calif., and Bradley Allen Starr, Elkins; a daughter, Brenda Ann Starr, Huttonsville; two brothers, Walker F. Hite Jr., Jacksonville, Ark., and Otha H. Hite, Buckhannon; four sisters, Wanda Leigh Corder, Akron, Ohio, Barbara Sue Shiley, Ona, Linda Mae Gould and Doris Jean Long, both of Valley Head; and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Starr was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.

Funeral Arrangements: Friends may call at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. At the request of the deceased her remains will be cremated. Flowers are to be omitted and memorial contributions may be made to The National Alzheimer’s Association, 919 North Michigan Ave., Suite 1000, Chicago, Ill. 60611.
