Annabell White Lambert, 63, a resident of the Bell Crouch Road near Huttonsville, departed this life Sunday evening, Sept. 1, 2002, at the home of her daughter, Kathleen Taylor.

She had been in declining health and death was attributed to lung cancer.

She was born Sept. 14, 1938, at Wymer, the daughter of the late Coslo White and Elva Catherine Carr White.

On July 26, 1957, in Baltimore, Md., she was married to William Lambert, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Taylor, Mill Creek, and Debra Hickman, Richmond, Va.; seven brothers, Dale R. White, Carlisle, Pa., Norley, Norman, Robert, Roger, Gary and Coslo White Jr., all of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Geneva McCauley and Patty McGuire, both of Baltimore, Md., and Ella Sprouse, Abingdon, Md.; five grandchildren, Robert Sparks and Kimberly Taylor, both of Mill Creek, Valerie and Melissa Mills, both of Richmond, Va., and Barbara Burdette, Beckley; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Marie Turner.

Annabell attended Harman High School, had worked as a cook at Snowshoe Mountain Resort and the Big Springs Market, wa a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary at Baltimore, Md., had previously attended the Friendship Baptist Church at Valley Head and more recently attended the Valley Independent Baptist Church at Huttonsville.

Friends will be received at the Valley Independent Baptist Church on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Pastor Frank Stanley will officiate and interment will follow at the Valley Head Cemetery at Valley Head. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
