Annalise “Liz” Cooper, 79 died suddenly Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in Elkins.

She was born in Ellingen, Germany, on Oct. 7, 1923.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenz and Therese Hausler; and her husband, Louis Auguste Cooper.

She lived most of her life in Upper Montclair, N.J.

She retired from the Montclair Times in 1979, where she worked as the bookkeeper for both the Montclair Times and the Verona-Cedar Grove Times.

She lived in Jensen Beach, Fla., until the death of her husband in October of 2000.

She then moved to Stuart, Fla., and most recently to Elkins.

She leaves behind two daughters, Doris L. Cooper, Copley, Ohio, and Elaine Cooper Gilmore and son-in-law, John F. Gilmore, Elkins; three grandsons, Eric Cooper, San Antonio, Texas, Dana Cooper, Copley, Ohio, and Julian Gilmore; two granddaughters, Marguerite Gilmore and Kelly Gilmore; one great-grandson, Luke Masten, all of Elkins, and a brother, Joseph Hausler of Altamonte, Fla.

Liz was an avid bowler.
