Annie Evadot “Eva” Davis, 75, a resident of the Rosendorf community, Hendricks, and more recently a resident of the Cortland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas, departed this life early Tuesday morning, Jan. 14, 2003, at the nursing home.

She had been in declining health for the past five years and death was attributed to a stroke.

She was born Jan. 6, 1928, at Jordan Run, Pendleton County, a daughter of the late Arnold Rohrbaugh and Ollie Berg Rohrbaugh.

On Nov. 21, 1948, at Oakland, Md., she was married to Junior H. Davis, who survives at Hendricks. They had celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Also surviving are one son, Arthur Junior “Punk” Davis and wife, Eva, Hambleton; one daughter, Vickie Jean Cummings Hedrick, St. George; one brother, George F. Rohrbaugh, Crellin, Md.; two sisters, Ammajean “Pete” Metheny, Windham, Ohio, and Maxine Gank, Mt. Lake Park, Md.; four grandchildren, Kevin Scott Cummings, St. George, Harrison Dale “Hooper” Cummings, Hambleton, Juanita “Jay” Wilfong and husband George, St. George, and Christina Davis, Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Coy Cummings, St. George, Alex Cummings and Cameron Cummings, both of Parsons.

Preceding her in death are one brother, John Rohrbaugh; and one sister, Louise.

She attended the schools at Mt. Storm. She was a homemaker. She was seamstress and an excellent cook.

She was a member of the Parsons Church of God.

The family will receive friends at Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Friday at 11 a.m.

Pastor Eli Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at McNeeley Cemetery at Hendricks.

The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Annie Evadot “Eva” Davis.
