Arlon Shreve, 76, a former resident of Mill Creek, and a resident of Baltimore, Md., for the past several years, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at his residence at 7533 Wesley Chapel Road, in Monkton, Md. He had been in failing health for the past three years.

He was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Mill Creek, a son of the late Strader and Eulah Lloyd Shreve

He had never married.



He was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Channel, and three brothers, Troy Shreve, Dale Shreve and Clifford Shreve.



He is survived by a brother, Herbert Shreve, Elyria, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.



He was a woodsman and had been employed by several saw mills. After returning to Baltimore, Md., he was employed by the Industrial Paper Company until he retired in 1981. He was an avid fisherman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Methodist by faith.



Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Frank Long, pastor of the Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Elkins Memorial Gardens in Elkins. The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Arlon Shreve.
