Arnie Doris Wyatt Hamner, 82, died Feb. 3, 2003, at 7:47 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born Nov. 9, 1920, in Dandy, N.C., a daughter of the late Ambrose Franklin Wyatt and Flossie Danford Phillips Wyatt.

She was married on April 1, 1939, to George Burr Hamner, who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1990.

She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Luella Hamner, Gassaway, Tom and Janet Hamner, Indian Camp, Roger and Pat Hamner, Abbot Road, Paul and Liz Hamner, Slab Camp Community, and Junior and Debbie Hamner, Glady Fork community; and two daughters, Mrs. Hearlon (Dorothy) Radcliff, Clarksburg Road, and Mrs. Bill (Linda) Reaser, Harrisville. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.

She is survived by one sister, Dollie Hiner, Mentor, Ohio; and two brothers, Frank Wyatt, Madison, Ohio, and George Wyatt, also of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Wyatt, Russell Wyatt and Gwen Wyatt; and four sisters, May Cogar, Carrie Gregory, Ruby Hamrick and Hazel Brown.

Mrs. Hamner was a homemaker for many years and a Baptist by faith.

Family will receive friends at Robert M. Vincent Funeral Home, French Creek Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Jessie and the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery.
